Meet Our Doctor
Meet Our Doctor
We are privately owned and operated by Dr. Ashley Cristelli, who completed her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University in New Jersey, where she was born and raised. She then attended the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and graduated with her doctorate in 2012. Dr. Cristelli transitioned from a solo, mobile equine practice to establishing Glen Springs Veterinary Center in 2018. Since then, she has also become certified in Equine Veterinary Acupuncture and Spinal Manipulation through the Chi University in Reddick, FL.
Dr. Cristelli and her family reside in Alachua on 20 acres, with 5 horses, 3 donkeys, 6 dogs and 2 cats. In her limited spare time, she enjoys competing in jumper divisions with her horses, Grafton and Houdini.

Since then, she has been an amazing asset to our practice, catering to both our clients and patients needs with the utmost care and attention. Her ultimate goal is to become a certified veterinary technician and she is currently working through her program with our full support! In her off time, she spends it with her husband and their furry family of 3 dogs and 3 cats.

Gil
The Boss
Gil is our handsome rescue who enjoys roaming the hospital and sneaking treats. You can find Gil walking the outside perimeter of Glen Springs or snoozing on the desk.
Feel free to give him a cuddle upon arrival. If he is not here, that is because he is enjoying his new home at Miss Jo's house!

Maci
Hospital Greeter
Dr. Cristelli rescued Maci after her previous owners were unable to care for her; she presented in critical condition after getting into a toxin. Maci now spends her days snoozing in the back office, sunbathing, taking walks to Bev's for lunch and helping to greet our clients as well as their pets.
Joleany
Veterinary
Assistant
Joleany is from Hialeah and is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Florida who is planning on attending veterinary school in the future. She aspires to have a career as a wildlife or exotic animal veterinarian but also enjoys small animal medicine as well. Outside of working at Glen Springs, she spends her days attending class, dancing ballet, birding or training her cat Ruby (who was adopted though our clinic!)
